How to register as a partner
Registering is necessary if you want to use the www.acp-eu-waterpartnerships.org website to find partners and prepare partnerships, before submitting an application to the European Commission. By registering on www.acp-eu-waterpartnerships.org you make the information about your organisation (e.g. name of the organisation, email address, contact details) visible to other registered users of the website. This allows other potential partners to contact your organisation to discuss possible partnerships.
Please note that the personal information you provide when registering (e.g. your personal email address) will not be made visible to other registered users of the website. Only the information you provide on your organisation will be made visible to other registered users. So, if you provide your personal email address as the contact for your organisation, this will be made visible to other registered users. If you do not want your personal email address to be made visible to other registered users, you can provide a general email address (e.g. info@myorganisation.org) as the contact for your organisation.
Registering is free, fast and easy. When you access the www.acp-eu-waterpartnerships.org website, click on Register/Login. This will lead you to the page below. To register as a user, you have to fill in all the required fields (the fields that are marked with *). You will have to choose a username, give a valid email address, and choose a password (which you have to confirm).

Example of password: waterPartner1+
The first time you register, after providing the required information and clicking on “Create new account”, you will be automatically directed to another page. Here, you will have to select your organisation. First, check whether your organisation is already registered by using the available drop-down menu. Simply select your organisation from the drop-down menu, submit and your registration is complete.
If you cannot find your organisation by using the drop-down menu, this means that your organisation is not registered and you will have to create a new organisation by clicking on the link “Click here to create organisation”. Again, this only takes a few seconds and is easy. In order to register your organisation and complete your registration, you will have to enter a few basic data. The required fields (the fields that are marked with *) include the name of your organisation (this can be an acronym, e.g. PSIRU); country; type of organisation (e.g. water utility); full name of the organisation; city; email address (this could be your own email address, that of a colleague or a general email address for the organisation). When you have entered this information, click “Submit” and your registration will be complete.

Once you have entered and saved records on your organisation, others – for example, colleagues at your organisation – will be able to register and choose your organisation as their own by selecting from the drop-down menu showing all the registered organisations.
It is important that you provide accurate information when registering online. This will allow potential partners to contact you and propose partnerships. This will also allow PSIRU to contact you and provide relevant assistance, advice and information.
When you successfully register, a confirmation email will be sent from the ACP-EU Water Partnerships account (noreply@wporg.projectorial.co.uk) to the email account you have provided. The confirmation email contains your chosen user name and password. Please print this email and save it in your records, as this information will allow you to log in again in the future.
After you successfully register, you will be able to look for partners online, contact them, and create and develop partnership proposals online.
How to login after registering as a partner
Once you have successfully registered, you will not have to enter the same information again. The information you have entered when registering will have been recorded, which will save you time when accessing the website again.
When you access the www.acp-eu-waterpartnerships.org website, click on “Register/Login”. This will lead you to the page below. If you have already registered, ignore “Create new account” and directly go to “Log in”. Then, provide your username and password (which are contained in the confirmation email you receive after registering), and select “Log in”. Please remember that you can always request a new password (see below section on “How to request a new password”).

After entering your username and password, you will be able to look for partners online, contact them, create and develop partnership proposals online with your partners, or review your proposed partnerships.
How to request a new password
If you have already registered but you have forgotten your password, click on “Register/Login”. This will lead you to the page below. Ignore “Create new account”, ignore “Log in”, and directly go to “Request new password”. Then, provide your username or the email address you provided when registering, and click “E-mail new password”. You will receive an email from the ACP-EU Water Partnerships account (noreply@wporg.projectorial.co.uk) with instructions on how to reset and change your password.
In case of problems, do not hesitate to contact: e.lobina@gre.ac.uk (+44 208 331 8476).

How to edit the contact details of your organisation
After successfully registering as a user and saving the records of your own organisation, you will be redirected automatically to the “Organisation Details” page. This page allows you to view the full details of your organisation so that you can regularly review and, if needed, update them. For example, to change the details of your organisation, click on “Edit”, update details and then save by clicking “Submit”.

To enter the contact details of your organisation, click on “Contacts” and you will be directed to the “Organisation Contact Details” page as shown below. You can then decide to add a contact, by clicking at the bottom of the page, or to go back to the “Organisation Details” page.

Every time you click on “Add a Contact”, the following form will appear. The only required fields to enter in the “Organisation Contact” page are the contact name and the email address. You can also decide to enter other contact details (e.g. telephone and fax numbers), but this is not necessary.

To save the entered records, click “Submit” and the entered contact details will show as below. Every time you want to add another contact for the same organisation, click on Add a Contact and repeat the operation. If you want to change the contact details of a contact you have already entered, click on “edit” under “Operations” and update the contact details that require editing. When you have finished, save by clicking “Submit”. You can go back to the “Organisation Details” page by clicking “Go Back”.

How to find partners
If you want to find a partner to propose and discuss a partnership and you have successfully registered, you can search for partners by clicking “Find a Partner”. In order to do so, use the drop down menu under “Partnership” from the bar at top of the page.

By clicking “Find a Partner”, you will be directed to the “Find Organisation for Partnership” page. This page allows you to select from the list of registered organisations, by searching for type of organisation (e.g. Water utility) and for country. If that can help, you can order all the entries alphabetically by clicking, respectively, on “Name”, “Country”, etc. For example, by clicking on “Name” you will be able to see all the registered organisations in alphabetical order.

When you have identified the organisation(s) you want to contact, you can do so by using the displayed email address or by clicking “Contact Organisation” under “Operations”. This takes you to the “Send Email to Organisation” page, where you will have to fill in the required fields: “Your name”; “Your email address”; “Subject”; “Message”. After completing the required fields, you can send the email by clicking “Send email”.

How to create and develop a partnership proposal
After finding your partner(s), you can create a partnership proposal so that this information can be used as reference when you and your partner(s) develop your application for an EC grant. When you create a partnership proposal, you make your intention to submit an application visible to all registered users. This allows PSIRU to contact you and your partner(s) to offer assistance in writing concept notes and full proposals. It also allows other registered users to contact you and your partner(s) to offer their support. For example, this could be a way to identify and attract supporting partners, such as local Non-State Actors wishing to support your partnership.
Please note that, once you create a partnership proposal, you will be the only user able to edit that proposal. No other user, not even your own partners, will be able to edit the proposal. Ideally, applicants will create partnership proposals and edit their content after consultation with their partner(s). For a definition of applicant, please see the ACP-EU Water Partnership Briefing Note in the “About Partnerships” page or the official Guidelines for Grant Applicants. Alternatively, contact: e.lobina@gre.ac.uk (+442083318476).
By selecting “Create a Partnership” from the drop-down menu appearing under “Partnerships”, you will be directed to the form below. Fill the form starting from the partnership name, which you have to decide (e.g. “name of applicant”-“name of beneficiary partner”). Continue filling in the form as more details of the partnership are agreed upon by the partners, for example: who is going to be the applicant, who is going to be the beneficiary partner, the total cost of the partnership project, etc. You can use the description box to provide all the details that are not covered by the other fields. For example, you can indicate the proposed implementing partner(s), supporting partner(s), and associates, or you could use it to describe the proposed themes and actions of your partnership.

After you have entered details, it is important that you save them by clicking “Save Partnership”.
Please note that recording a partnership proposal on www.acp-eu-waterpartnerships.org is not sufficient to submit concept notes and full proposals (i.e. full applications) to the European Commission. Concept notes and full proposals can only be submitted to the European Commission by registered mail, private courier service or by hand-delivery (the postal addresses are indicated in the Guidelines for Grant Applicants). The deadline for submitting concept notes is 6th October 2010.
How to view partnerships
Applicants and partners can submit more than one application to the European Commission. If you want to have an overview of all your proposed partnerships, you can click on “My Partnerships” choosing from the drop-down menu appearing under “Partnerships”.
From “My Partnerships”, you can edit the content of the partnership proposal(s) you have created. See section on “How to create and develop a partnership proposal” above.
If registered users want to view a summary of all the partnerships that have been recorded on the www.acp-eu-waterpartnerships.org website, they can click on “Partnerships” and access the “Browse all partnerships” page.
